The most notorious International employment scams include: -

International job offers where you are required to send money before you are given a contract, work permit or work visa.
After sending money, you may not hear from them again.

Bogus employment agencies who ask for commissions before you are granted work permits or work visas.
After payment of commissions, you may not hear from them again.

Travel agents who work with fraudsters to sell you air-tickets before work permits or work visas are granted.
After paying for the ticket, no work permits and no visas are issued. You will be lucky to recover the money you had paid for the air-ticket.

Employment agencies who send you abroad without a contract, work permit or work visa. In most cases a visit or tourist visa will be applied for you
with a promise to change it into work visa when you get to the job location. After arriving in the country of job location, you will be on your own.
Kindly note that in almost all cases, genuine and credible employers will never ask you:
- To pay for work permits or work visas before they are actually issued.
- To buy air-tickets before work permits or work visas are issued.
- To travel to the job location without a work permit or work visa.
